Abstract
This research aims to (1) increase the activity of the sixth grade students' mathematics learning with SDN Pamedaran 03 Implementation Group Learning Model STAD with media type chart, (2) improve student mathematics achievement sixth grade at SDN Pamedaran 03 Implementation Group Learning Model STAD with media type chart . Subjects were sixth grade students of SDN 03 Pamedaran academic year 2012/2013 as many as 25 people. This research is a classroom action research was conducted in two cycles. with sixth grade students study subjects SDN Pamedaran 03 half a school year 2012/2013, amounting to 25 people. Student activity data collected by observation and outcome data were collected to test students' learning outcomes. Furthermore, the data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis. Implementation of actions initiated by dividing the class into 5 groups, delivering learning objectives, deliver learning materials with charts, worksheets doing group work, group presentation, and practice questions. Research results showed: (1) to improve student learning outcomes of the average classical completeness 6,52 and 76% in the first cycle to an average of 7.40, with learning outcomes classical completeness by 92% in the second cycle, (2) can be increase of student activity by 76% in the first cycle and by 92% in the second cycle so that it can be concluded that the application of learning models with chart group type STAD as learning media can be used as an alternative option to the learning of mathematics.
