Abstract
Thepurpose of thepresent study is to explore the features of several available textbooks evaluation checklists proposed by researchers, reading specialists and professionals in the field of reading comprehension. It then presents a suggested checklist to enable material developers as well as educators to evaluate the quality of reading textbooks. The use of this checklist is expected to make the evaluation process more efficient, accurate, and reliable.
