Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses matematisasi siswa kelas VIII dengan pendekatan PMRI
ditinjau dari gaya kognitif reflektif dan impulsif. Subjek penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas VIII C SMPN 1 Batang.
Data diambil dengan observasi, wawancara, serta tes. Analisis tes proses matematisasi mengacu pada dua proses
matematisasi yaitu proses matematisasi horizontal dan vertikal. Analisis data dilakukan dengan langkah-langkah
tahap reduksi data, tahap penyajian data, tahap verifikasi dan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan
subjek reflektif kelompok atas, tengah, dan bawah dapat memenuhi semua indikator proses matematisasi horizontal
kemudian subjek reflektif kelompok atas dan tengah dapat memenuhi semua indikator proses matematisasi vertikal
tetapi untuk kelompok bawah hanya dapat memenuhi beberapa indikator proses matematisasi vertikal. Subjek
impulsif kelompok atas dan tengah dapat memenuhi semua indikator proses matematisasi horizontal tetapi untuk
kelompok bawah hanya dapat memenuhi beberapa indikator proses matematisasi horizontal. Subjek impulsif
kelompok atas dapat memenuhi semua indikator proses matematisasi vertikal tetapi untuk kelompok tengah dan
bawah hanya dapat memenuhi beberapa indikator proses matematisasi vertikal.

The purpose of this research is to know the process of mathematization, grade VIII SMPN 1 Batang with the
approach of the PMRI in terms of cognitive styles reflective and impulsive. the subject of his research adalsh grade
VIII C. Data taken with the observation, interviews, and tests. The analysis of the test process refers to two
processes matematisasi matematisasi i.e. the process of horizontal and vertical mathematization. Data analysis was
done with the steps of data reduction stage, the stage of the presentation of the data, the verification stage and
conclusion. The results of this research indicate the subject of the reflective group top, middle, and bottom can meet all the process of horizontal mathematization indicators are then the subject of the reflective upper and middle
group can meet all the process indicators mathematization vertical but to lower groups can only fulfill some
indicators mathematization vertical processes. The subject is impulsive upper and middle group can meet all the
process of horizontal matematisasi indicators but to lower groups can only meet some mathematization process
indicator horizontal, then the subject is impulsive group can meet all the process indicators matematisasi vertical
but for middle and bottom group can only fulfill some indicators mathematization vertical processes.
